How long does it take for wedding dresses to come in?
Our designer dresses take about four to six months to arrive once ordered. Please consider this when making your appointment. Once your dress comes in, allow one to two months for alterations. White Lace Bridal suggests ordering your dress eight months to one year prior to your wedding date to avoid any rush fees and additional stress. If your wedding date is sooner than six months away, ask us about any available rush options.
What size wedding dress samples to you have in store?
Our samples in our shop vary in size, with the majority of the sizes being 12-18. We recently added our Plus Size Collection, with samples ranging in sizes 18-34. All designers have different fits and every sample will fit differently. We understand that it can be difficult to envision your wedding dress when the sample that you try on doesn’t fit perfectly, but we’ve got all sorts of tricks to help you get a close(r) vision of what you will look like on your wedding day.
Do I need an appointment?
Our goal at White Lace Bridal is to help you find your wedding dress! For that reason, if you want to try on dresses, we do require an appointment. This way we can ensure that there will be a dedicated stylist working one-on-one with you for your full 90 minute appointment!
If you’re feeling nervous or overwhelmed and just want to browse or ask questions feel free to call us or stop by and say hello. This is a time when you can browse, get to know us and preview the dresses. However, keep in mind that if you would like to try on dresses, we do require you to work with a White Lace Consultant and will need an appointment.
How many guests can I bring with me and how long will my appointment last?
The best advise we can give is to only bring the key people that you cannot make this decision without. For some, this may mean shopping alone and for others it may be a couple of loved ones. This is your time. You want friends who will be honest, but you also want friends that first and foremost will be supportive. We recommend that you limit your party to four or less during your visit.
We are a cozy, little boutique with limited seating and we have found that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for you. We do ask that you bring no more than four max. As for timing, we’ll never rush you through the process, we schedule every bridal appointment for a full hour and a half.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We recommend bringing an open-mind, any undergarments, and shoes that you would like to try on with the bridal gowns. It is a good idea to wear a strapless bra. Also, you many bring photos of gowns that you have been admiring, but we suggest coming in and trying on several different styles.
What price range are the wedding dresses in your store?
Our wedding dresses range from just under $1,000 to approximately $2,000. Your stylist will work closely with you to ensure you are comfortable with the price range of gowns selected.
What payment options do I have?
WLB offers an in-house, interest free layaway program. When you place your order, a 25% deposit is required and the remaining balance will be divided into six equal payments or up to one month before your event. OR When you place your order, a 60% deposit is required and the remaining balance is due when the dress arrives. All bridal gowns must be paid in full in order for the gown to leave the shop. All other sales excluding bridal gowns must be paid in full at the time of purchase. We accept all major credit cards, cash and checks.
Can I buy a dress off the rack?
In most cases, no. We have sample gowns in a variety of sizes, and we can order your special gown based on your measurements. Keep in mind that alterations may still be necessary.
What about alterations?
WLB will suggest a dress size based on your specific measurements, but we can pretty much guarantee that your dress will need alterations to get the best fit. We don’t provide alterations in shop as we know that there are local experts who have the best equipment and skills to assist with your alterations. We are happy to make recommendations, but you are not required to use our recommendations.
What is a trunk show?
Trunk shows are normally held on a specific weekend at our shop during normal business hours. We will be sent up to 20 additional gown from our designer, not usually stocked in our store. If you find a bridal gown at a trunk show, be prepared to purchase it before the event ends, as it may no longer be available at the store once the event is over. What else do you carry at White Lace Bridal?
We offer a wide variety of bridesmaids, mother of all occasions, special occasion gowns including Prom and Homecoming, and flower girl dresses. We carry bridal accessories such as veils, sashes/belts, hairpieces and jewelry. We offer tuxedo rentals for all occasions. We custom design and print wedding invitations and stationary. We also offer Linen Rentals and Chair Cover & Sash Rentals.
